🚨 🚨 UPDATE: Today, the Government of Alberta has introduced Bill 9 which uses the notwithstanding clause to restrict the rights of trans and gender diverse people across the province. The Alberta government has introduced discriminatory anti-trans laws and is now using the notwithstanding clause to overrride the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and force them into effect.

This clause blocks the courts–but not us. The Alberta government may try their best to silence judges, but they cannot silence the public. 

The legislation has been introduced. That gives us just days to make sure all of our voices are heard. Direct emails are tracked, reviewed, and can’t be ignored. The more we send, the stronger we look.
